It's all about the trucks this weekend at the New York State Fairgrounds. Vehicles from tractor trailers to lowered mini trucks will participate in the second annual King of Trucks on Saturday and Sunday. Our Brad Vivacqua has the details.
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- You can do things like register your truck to come ride through a man-made mud pit, and an off-road obstacle course. This is a great event for anyone who would like to see some unique trucks with features like lifted suspensions, chrome wheels, and thundering stereo systems.
Last year, this event was an instant success, drawing people from all over the northeast and Canada. About 700 vehicles will be displayed in the show and shine field and other events, including truck pulls, will take place in the Grandstand area. There will also be monster truck rides, and a number events for the kids.
If it has anything to do with trucks, you'll likely find it here.
"This is a good way to come out and see what people have done to their trucks, they're very proud of their trucks. And, if you have a nice truck, bring it out, show it off. Talk to other guys who like trucks as well. Really, it's just a big celebration of American trucks," said Rob O'Connor, King of Trucks director.
King of Trucks will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can purchase your tickets for $15 at the gate or $11 if you get them ahead of time.
