ITHACA, N.Y. - Despite faltering in the second half of Tuesday's 12-6 defeat at Cornell, Syracuse freshman goalie Bobby Wardwell is showing improvement according to head coach John Desko.
Making his second start for the Orange, Wardwell held the Big Red's potent attack to just three goals in the first half before Cornell broke through. However he kept the game from becoming an even bigger blowout with 12 saves and is expected to retain the starting job as long as he continues to perform well.
