CLAY, N.Y. -- Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing in the Town of Clay.

Investigators say Elias Matziarias, 25, was stabbed a little after 4:30 Sunday afternoon outside his home on Alperton Court.

Deputies said Matziarias and his alleged attacker were arguing just before the stabbing and the suspect fled.

Matziarias was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he is listed in serious, but stable condition.
