SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse tradition is hitting the streets of Tipp Hill. The Green Beer Parade marched down Tompkins Street Sunday afternoon.

Musicians, Irish dancers, and a truck head down the hill, bringing green beer to Colemans. It starts a series of Saint Patrick's celebrations in Syracuse. And this one has spanned generations.

"Well, this is our 50th year doing that. We started in '63. I think anything you do over 20 years is pretty much history. 50 years is unbelievable. But as you can see it really draws the neighborhood together, and outside the neighborhood," said Peter Coleman of Coleman’s Authentic Irish Pub.

Dick Case from the Post-Standard was the grand marshal of the Green Beer Parade.
