HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police are investigating a deadly snowmobile crash in Herkimer County.

Officers say a town of Webb employee located the accident on trail four Friday morning.

According to investigators, Carl Barcomb, 52, of Old Forge lost control on a curve and hit a tree.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine how Barcomb died.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
