SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Fireworks marked the opening night of Syracuse’s 2013 Winterfest celebration outside Destiny USA Thursday.

This year's Winterfest will have something for everyone, including an ice castle, treasure hunt, martini mix-off and a human dog sled race. The event will run 11 days, ending next Sunday.
