LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Governor Andrew Cuomo says Suffolk County was the hardest hit area of New York.

Hundreds of cars and trucks were stuck. Some folks on the Long Island Expressway even spent Friday night stranded.

More than 529 pieces of equipment, including 412 additional plow trucks, and 731 plow operators from across New York arrived since Saturday.

It's one of the largest mobilizations to recover from a winter blizzard in the state’s history.
