Bomb squad responds to scene in Wellsburg
WELLSBURG, N.Y. — A bomb squad was called to the Village of Wellsburg on Saturday.
According to State Police, emergency crews were responding to a car fire at a Church Street home in the village.
A military ordnance that acts like a World War II era mortar shell was found at the condemned building.
An individual was ticketed for trespassing, although there were no charges filed for the shell.
No one was injured.
