Suspect in deadly shooting pleads not guilty
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The suspect in a deadly shooting in Syracuse has pleaded not guilty.
Shala Williams, 31, was arraigned Saturday morning in Syracuse City Court.
Police say Williams shot 49-year-old Angelo Jenkins and 23-year-old Neisha Baker at a home on Highland Street last Sunday. Jenkins died from his injuries.
Williams is charged with 2nd degree murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police are not releasing his photo due to their ongoing investigation.
Williams was sent to the Onondaga County Jail without bail following his arraignment.
