OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Hobart man convicted of felony drug charges will spend more than five decades behind bars. Dante Major, 36, was sentenced to 55 years to life in prison for four felony drug charges.

DEA officials say he was the head of heroin and other opiate distribution in Otsego County and the surrounding area.

On top of the 55 to life in prison, Major was ordered to pay $260,000 in fines.
