ITHACA, N.Y. -- After just one day of witnesses for the defense, testimony has wrapped up in the trial of Corbin Whyte.
The 28-year old Ithaca man has been charged with second degree murder, robbery and tampering with evidence in the shooting of Paul Garcia, 47. Garcia was shot at the Maple Hill Apartment Complex in December of 2010.
The defense contends there is no direct evidence linking Whyte to the crime.
Closing arguments will take place Wednesday.
This is Whyte's second trial. The first one ended in a hung jury.
