People stabbed during two separate incidents in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica police are investigating two incidents where victims were stabbed during fights.

The first happened at the Parkway Recreation Center around 8 p.m. Friday. Police say there were several fights involving dozens of people. Two 17-year-olds were stabbed in the chest. They were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and police say neither is cooperating with officers.

One person was arrested in connection with the fight on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration and a harassment violation.

Then around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a large fight was reported at Club Toxic on Broad Street. When officers got there, they found four men who were injured. Police say one man had several stab wounds. Another had a cut to his face after being hit with a bottle. Two other men had injuries from being hit in the head with bar stools. Their conditions are unknown.
