SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man was shot after refusing to answer the door. It happened Sunday night on East Fayette Street.

According to police, a suspect knocked on the door, but the victim wouldn't let him in. Detectives say two shots were fired into the door, one striking a 62-year-old man in the hand. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
