Watertown man honored on Donate Life float

CALIFORNIA -- The Parade of Roses rolled through Pasadena, California Tuesday, marking the 124th year of the New Year’s Day tradition. This year's theme was "Oh, the Place You'll Go," featuring marching bands and large, floral floats, including the Donate Life float.

On it was a flora-graph picture of Ryan Converse, a Watertown man who was hit by a car and killed in 2010. After he was declared brain dead, his parents made the decision to donate his organs. It was that reason why the Finger Lakes Donor Network decided to honor him.

A ceremony two weeks ago gave his parents a chance to put the finishing touches on his picture.
