NORTH COUNTRY -- One of the North Country's largest health care providers has announced restructuring. Adirondack Health, which is comprised of eight facilities, including Adirondack Medical Center, is planning several cost-cutting measures, including job cuts to try to become financially stable once again.

In all, 25 jobs are being eliminated. However, eight of those are currently vacant. The hospital is also freezing the salaries of all management staff next year.

Officials say other savings will come from qualifying for the federal drug pricing program, and moving transcription services to a specialty firm.

Adirondack Health employs 900 people in the North Country.
