NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- New Hartford Police made three arrests after they say a Subway employee called in a robbery he planned himself. It actually happened back on May 19th.

Investigators say Kevin Cole, 31, of Utica, reported that a masked man robbed the restaurant at gun point. But they later found out that Cole allegedly helped stage the robbery, with the help of Abege Berkley, 27, and Ricky Cummings, 39.

All three men have been charged with petit larceny.

Cole is facing additional charges of falsifying business records and lying to police.
