ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- If you've ever wanted to own a one-of-a-kind giant golf ball with Jim Boeheim's face on it, now you have a chance.

The famous Rolling Stone magazine sketch artist Phillip Burke was at the DeWitt Wegmans on Monday, painting the three foot Jim Boeheim golf ball.

It's all a part of community program called Golf Balls on Parade. It raises money for local charities on behalf of the 95th PGA championship in Rochester, which will be held in August next year.

"The golf ball will be used as a way to generate funds for the Jim and Julie Boeheim Foundation. Basically, they will be having their gala next year and they will be auctioning off this ball at the gala,” said Evelyn Carter, Consumer Affairs at Wegmans.

Burke will spend about five hours painting the ball. He should be done with it sometime Tuesday morning.
