SU football team wins final Big East game
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Twenty-one years of history came to an end Friday as the SU football team played its final conference game as a member of the Big East.
The Orange, one of the founding members of the conference, took on Temple, a team which was re-instated to fill the void left by West Virginia. Syracuse struggled early, but dominated the second half, winning 38-20.
They finish the regular season seven and five.
SU played in the Pinstripe Bowl two years ago, when they beat Kansas State 36-34.
