WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The Urban Mission got some big help into reaching those goals Monday as employees at the Stream Call Center in Watertown presented Mission Director Erika Flint with a check for more than $3,000.

The employees spent the past few months raising the money and collecting more than 1,500 food items that were also donated to the mission.

"This will go toward our food pantry. Particularly around the holiday season, Thanksgiving and Christmas, making sure that we have the services in place for the winter months," said Flint.

"It was pretty amazing. Everyone in the building really came out for the events. We had can drives, we had garage sales. We did a silent auction that the local community alone and neighboring businesses donated more than $2,000 worth of merchandise for," said Chad Worthington, Stream Sales Force employee.

The employees also raised about $4,000 for fellow Stream employees in the Philippines who were hit by massive flooding recently.
