CLAYTON, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County man is arrested following an investigation into a Craigslist posting.

Authorities began an investigation after a concerned parent told them about a Craigslist posting searching for a known teenage girl. An investigation showed 43-year-old Kenneth Louviere of Clayton was attempting to text and e-mail a 14-year-old girl, but it was actually a detective.

Deputies say Louviere arranged to meet with the teen for a sexual encounter. He is charged with attempted rape, attempted criminal sex act, luring a child and disseminating indecent material.

He was sent to Jefferson County Jail on $20,000 bail.
