BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A four-year-old girl has tragically died after she was hit by a car in her own driveway.

State Police say Brenda Hadlick, 37, had been babysitting Kenzee Wheeler at a home on Mountain Road in Windsor. As Hadlick backed out of the driveway around 8 a.m. Thursday, police say she accidentally struck the little girl.

Wheeler was flown to Wilson Memorial Hospital where she later died.

State Police say they are still investigating.
