OWEGO, N.Y. -- Lockheed Martin's Owego plant has landed a major contract to update several aircraft.
The U.S. Navy awarded Lockheed a $30 million contract to upgrade the cockpits of its C-130T aircraft with the latest technology and software. The company says the new cockpits will feature a complete display system upgrade and an improved interface for pilots, along with other upgrades. It will extend the fleet's mission capability for another 20 years.
The upgrades should be completed by 2016.
