Standoff ends in mental health arrest

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A standoff with Binghamton Police and Broome County Sheriff's deputies at Legacy Bay Town Homes ended with a mental health arrest. Police were called to a complex along Ely Park Boulevard on Monday afternoon.

Investigators were told that a man was inside and there were guns in the townhouse. Nobody was injured. The suspect was taken to Binghamton General Hospital for evaluation. No charges have been filed yet.
