ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- National Grid confirms over 600 customers were left without power after a transformer fire in the Town of DeWitt.
The fire happened on Terrace Drive between Landsdowne Road and East Genesee Street and caused the outage just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
National Grid says roughly 650 customers were left without electricity for about 30 minutes. They believe it was a malfunction that caused the fire, but crews are investigating the cause.
