COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. - It was a day for celebration and remembrance as Barry Larkin and the late Ron Santo were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown.

Larkin, a Cincinnati native, spent his entire 19-year career with his hometown Reds, making 12 All-Star teams and winning nine Silver Sluggers, three Gold Gloves at shortstop, and a World Series. Santo spent 14 of his 15 seasons with the Chicago Cubs, making nine All-Star teams and winning five Gold Gloves at third base despite suffering from Type 1 juvenile diabetes, which ultimately claimed his life in December 2010. His plaque was accepted by his widow, Vicki.
