Binghamton Police warn of increase in larcenies

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton Police are asking neighbors to be on the lookout for suspicious activity. They say recently there's been an increase in larcenies, with lawn mowers, snow blowers, gas grills being stolen out of sheds and garages.

The crimes are happening not only during night hours, but also during the day.

Police say there have been reports of slow moving pickup trucks in the areas where the crimes are happening and periodically, someone will get out and walk into yards.

Police ask anyone who sees this type of suspicious activity to call police immediately. The number is (607) 723-5321.
