CORTLAND COUNTY -- State police are investigating a deadly tractor trailer accident involving a pedestrian in Cortland County.

It happened around 10:00 pm on Sunday on Route 81 in the Town of Cortlandville. Police said a person was walking across the roadway when they were hit by the tractor trailer.

The victim's identity hasn't been released. An autopsy is planned for later today.
