BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Voters in New York State will head to the polls Tuesday for the Congressional primary, and officials are preparing for the election.
In Broome County, the Board of Elections is answering phones and responding to questions from voters about where and when to vote. Voting machines are also being delivered to polling locations. Still, officials say they are expecting a low turnout for the primary.
"I think it’s because this election is an oddity, it’s the judge ordered primary that's taking effect, we haven't voted in June in a long time for a primary, so I think it’s causing a lot of confusion," said Karen Davis, Republican Deputy Commissioner.
Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Check with your local board of elections on polling locations.
