ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The driver of a dump truck has died in an accident in the Town of Manlius. It happened at the Kinsella Quarry off Route 5 just after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Police say two people were inside the dump truck, which was loaded with gravel. The truck went off the roadway and hit an embankment.

The driver, a man believed to be in his 50s, died in the accident. His passenger was treated for minor injuries.

Authorities are working to reconstruct the accident.

The victim's name is not being released at this time.
