GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Congratulations to Christian Brothers Academy senior, Brendan Smith, who won a national championship at the Steeplechase in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Smith was ranked number one in the country going into this event. He lived up to his ranking, with a winning time of 5:55, which is nearly six seconds ahead of the runner behind him.

Smith will try to continue his success at the University of Pennsylvania.
