JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Classic cars, new cars, antique fire equipment and more. The Jefferson County Historical Society is getting ready for Heritage Days this weekend.

The Society is teaming up with Slack Chemical to host the Operation Yellow Ribbon event Saturday. It kicks off with a history road rally in the morning and a cruise-in featuring 100 classic cars throughout the day. There will also be living history demonstrations, hand making food, candles, even games for the kids.

"This is a perfect opportunity for families and lovers of history to come together. It's a fun day, but it's also an educational day," said Bill Wood, Jefferson County Historical Society Executive Director.

There will also be plenty of events indoors at the society in case of bad weather.
