CICERO, NY - The J-D Red Rams blew open a close game in the third quarter to beat the Carthage Comets 13-7 Wednesday and win their fourth consecutive Class B boys lacrosse sectional championship.
The Red Rams trailed after the first quarter and only led by one goal at halftime over the Comets, who had lost 23-7 to J-D in the title game last season.
SU-bound middie Jordan Evans led the Rams on a 6-1 third quarter run to blow the game open. Evans finished the game with four goals as J-D won its 13th sectional championship and now bids for its third straight state title starting in the regional round Saturday.
