CENTRAL NEW YORK -- State Police Trooper Amanda Anna will be laid to rest this week in North Syracuse. The funeral will be Friday morning.
The 31-year-old died late Friday night when her marked Chevy Tahoe went off the road in the Town of Hastings. Police believe she was pursuing another vehicle on Country Route 37 when she lost control. Her vehicle hit a guardrail, became airborne and overturned several times.
Trooper Anna died from her injuries early Saturday morning.
The six year veteran from Liverpool worked out of the Hastings Barracks in Oswego County.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home on Fay Street in the City of Fulton.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the North Syracuse Baptist Church on South Main Street. It will be followed by a graveside service, which is open to the public.
