OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Oneonta teenager is in the hospital following an accident with a train.

State Police say it happened early Monday morning in the Town of Otego. They say Trevor Komenda, 18, was hit by an eastbound Canadian Pacific Railway train.

Komenda was airlifted from the scene to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City and then transferred to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.

Both State Police and the Canadian Pacific Railway Police are investigating the accident.
