JAMESVILLE, N.Y. -- Neighbors lined the streets of Jamesville Saturday as firefighters, police and other officials rolled by.
This was the village's 17th Memorial Day Parade. Local veterans said it was nice to see so many people out there but the day definitely has extra significance for them.
David Freeman, a Jamesville resident said, “It's a day to honor veterans. I'm one myself, many comrades I’ve had, my son is an Iraqi Veteran. Just respect for our soldiers."
A memorial service was held following the parade at Jamesville Elementary School.
