Soldier accused of child sex abuse
JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Fort Drum soldier is accused of sexually abusing two children. State Police said James Costigan, 32, of Calcium engaged in sexual conduct with an eight-year-old and a five-year-old girl in the town of Leray.
Costigan is charged with two counts each of first-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. He was sent to the Jefferson County Jail on $25,000 bail.
The two victims are in the care of Jefferson County Child Protective Services.
