LIVERPOOL, N.Y. – Fire crews worked quickly to contain a fire and save a home on Ilex Lane in Liverpool. Officials said a passerby saw flames and smoke coming from the home around 8 a.m.

The fire department was able to contain the fire to the garage area and ventilate smoke by breaking windows on the first and second floors.

Officials said no one was inside the home at the time and no one was injured.
