JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- If you’re bored by your job, check out what these workers do for a living.

Linemen with Haverfield Aviation are brought to electric transmission line towers by helicopter and are moved between the towers in areas where bucket trucks can’t go.

An eight man crew is currently working on replacing insulators along a National Grid line just outside of Watertown. Work is also being done near I-81 in a swampy area between Massey and Arsenal Street.

One lineman says he’s not bothered by working on the 100 foot high transmission towers or by swinging below a helicopter attached by a safety line at 200 feet above the ground.

“It’s fun. It’s a rush. It’s a really good rush to feel. It’s something you don’t get to do every day. It’s a lot of fun. I actually really enjoy my job I do for my company and for myself, it’s a job I gotta say I really enjoy doing," lineman Eric Talaski said.

Haverfield Aviation is based in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and specializes in aerial line inspections and construction services and yes they are hiring linemen.
