BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Five children were removed from a home in Broome County after allegedly being found living in unsanitary conditions.

The Broome County Sheriff's office was called to 22 Northrup Avenue in the Town of Lisle by Child Protective Services. Once inside, they say they encountered a strong odor of urine and feces. Deputies say they saw dog fecal matter in the living room and the carpet was wet from urine and garbage, including dirty diapers, was covering the floor.

Five children were living in the home, ages one to five.

Deputies say the three at home at the time of the visit had feces on their feet and one on his head. They also say their beds did not have sheets on them and were soiled to a grey or black coloring.

The children were immediately removed from the home.

Their parents, Season Smith-Craft, 27, and Ricki Craft, 29, were arrested and charged with ten counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
