SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Right now, it's not all that clear what Laurie Fine will say today. It will be the first time we hear from her publicly since sexual allegations against her husband were made public in November.
The wife of former assistant SU basketball coach Bernie Fine is expected to discuss accusations that she calls "scandalous lies" made by alleged victim and former SU ball boy Bobby Davis and others.
Davis claims he was sexually abused by the former SU coach. It was a tape recording of a phone conversation between Laurie Fine and Bobby Davis that blew open the case against her husband. SU announced Bernie Fine's firing within hours of the tape's release by ESPN, and later on, other allegations would surface about both Bernie and Laurie Fine.
In an affidavit, Davis has also accused Fine's wife, Laurie, of having sex with other SU players.
There is no word at this point on why Laurie Fine will use the Belhurst Castle in Geneva as the backdrop for her announcement, but we should find out later this morning. Today's news conference is planned for 11 a.m. Stay with YNN for our live coverage.
