HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Looking for a great milkshake in Herkimer County? Well, there's now an app for that and finding all of your other needs, thanks to the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce.

The free smart phone application is set to be released for both the iPhone and Android on Memorial Day. It allows the user to find businesses and restaurants in the area by category and even tells you how to get there.

The chamber encourages all Herkimer County businesses to upload their listing, even those that aren't tech savvy.

"The Herkimer Chamber is definitely pushing this app. They would help anyone along the way so if anybody that is not so informed about this app, they could also notify us and we would be able to help them with this kind of an application," said Francesca Magro, Herkimer Chamber of Commerce Board Member.

The chamber is also using this to boost membership by highlighting members' businesses first in their listings.
