STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- The owner of a Corning brewery has been forced to repay more than $250,000 in back taxes. Pelham McClellan, 54, who owns the Market Street Brewing Company, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a count of failing to include required information to the state Department of Taxation and Finance.
Prosecutors said McClellan failed to pay more than $255,000 in taxes between 2003 and 2009. As part of his plea agreement, he was given one year conditional discharge, and had to repay the amount in full.
