ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sounds of heat burners will fill Jamesville Beach Park in a few weeks for the 33rd annual Jamesville Balloonfest. Plans for the festival, which will take place June 8th through the 10th, were announced today. Musical acts, food, and amusement rides will fill the 250-acre park with more than 20 hot air balloons on hand. That includes a new comic character-themed balloon called Ding Bat Junior.
"He not only is a nice thing to look at but he also carries a message for kids to stay in school and support education and study hard and you can fly high just like him," said Peter Griswold, Balloonfest Operations Director.
Balloon rides will also be available throughout the weekend, ranging in price from $165 to $190.
