SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man is facing charges following a stabbing that seriously injured another man. Officers were called to the Toomey-Abbott apartments on Almond Street just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
When they arrived, they found James Carson, 36, with a stab wound to the chest in the lobby of the 20th floor. According to investigators, Carson was stabbed by Warren Agnew, 46, with a kitchen knife during a fight.
Carson was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition, but police say he is now expected to recover.
Agnew is charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
