ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Former BU pitcher Scott Diamond was recalled by the Minnesota Twins Monday after a sizzling start for the Twins' Triple-A team in Rochester.
Diamond was 4-1 with a 2.60 ERA for the Red Wings this season and will be making his second starting stint in two seasons with the Twins.
The former Bearcat is scheduled to start against the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday night in Minneapolis. Diamond went 1-5 in seven starts for the Twins last season.
