UNITED STATES -- The latest Lundberg Survey shows the average price for a gallon of gas is down 12 cents in the past month. According to the survey, the national average is at $3.85 a gallon.
Analysts said the dropping price is because crude oil prices are plunging. But this good news for drivers is bad news for the world economy. Crude oil is down because the market sees economic weakness in Europe and the US.
