SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The YNN team is honored with nine Syracuse Press Club awards for our work in 2011.

The awards were handed out last night at the Club’s annual banquet. YNN swept two categories, winning both the first and second place awards for Best Documentary, and Best Human Interest Feature.

We accepted second place awards for Best Video Essay, and for Best Spot News Coverage, with our continuing coverage of last summer’s severe flooding in the Southern Tier.

Our high school football series "First and 10" won first place for the Best Sports Show.

We were also honored for our online coverage, a second place for Best Blog and first place for YNN. com as the Best Local News Website.
