A Nor'easter has delivered a late April snow storm to parts of the Southern Tier. Some areas saw just a few flurries this morning, but others got as much as five or six inches of snow! Our Lara Greenberg has the latest on the conditions from Corning Community College.

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- NYSEG is working to restore power to more than 10,000 people following this morning's snow storm. A Nor'easter was expected to bring rain to most areas, but throughout the Southern Tier, people woke up to a blanket of white on the ground.

In some areas like downtown Corning, there was just a trace on the ground. But up the hill at Corning Community College, it was a different story. Students had to trudge through the slush and about six inches of snow. Classes weren't cancelled at the college, but a number of schools in the Southern Tier did delay or close for the day.

The good news is that this weather pattern isn't supposed to last, so most areas should see more spring-like weather for the rest of the week.
