STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police remain at the scene in Corning as State Troopers are actively conducting a clean-up of a suspected meth lab.

Authorities said they have been on the scene at 100 Reynolds Avenue since 9 p.m. Friday.

Details are limited at this time, but police said they have recovered what looks to be the remains of meth production. Police would not confirm whether or not anyone was home at the time they entered the apartment.

Lt. Jeff Heverly, of the Corning Police said, “We got an anonymous tip last night about a possible trespass slash suspicious activity going on at this apartment. Officers came up and visually observed what they believed to be a meth lab."

Both Corning Police and Fire Departments are on the scene with State Troopers. No further information is being released at this time.
