ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Clay man admitted to being drunk at the time of a crash that killed his girlfriend last year. Mark Richter, 23, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter Monday morning in Onondaga County Court.
Richter admitted that he was driving drunk on Grampion Road last May when he crashed into a tree, killing Debra Brown, 23. The couple's 17-month-old son was also in the car, and Richter pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child as well.
In exchange for the plea, the judge promised Richter three to nine years in prison when he's sentenced in May.
